In the United States, drivers consume nearly 400 million gallons of gasoline per day. This includes you and me and almost everyone else. Many of us are genuinely concerned about the environmental implications of our daily choices, but we rarely have good data to rely upon. So, we end up making uninformed choices. For example, when you fill up your Prius at an Exxon station what are the implications fo that choice, as compared to filling up at Chevron.
Well, the Sierra Club wants to help you make an informed decision. And, to do so it reviewed the records of the eight largest U.S. oil companies. The worst places to fill up ExxonMobil and ConocoPhilips. The best places are BP and Sunoco.
